Elizabeth Rose Ladouceur

December 30, 1940 — March 28, 2021

Elizabeth Rose Ladouceur, 80, of Solvay, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 28, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Syracuse. She graduated from Vocational High School and attended Bryant & Stratton College. Elizabeth worked at Walds Sales for 18 years and Solvay Electric Supply for 20 years.

Elizabeth loved spending time with her family and friends, volunteering for the Men’s Garden Club and was a member of the Senior Geddes Club and Syracuse Rose Society. She was truly grateful for the friendship she shared with Erica for 17 years.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Ladouceur; and sister, Beverly Perry.

Surviving are her longtime companion, Richard Hayko; son, John (Brenda) Muth of New Braunfels, TX; daughters, Linda (Ray) Petrusch of Clay and Karen (Bill) Hamm of Camillus; stepchildren, Mike Ladouceur, Richard (Karen) Ladouceur and Patty Wagner; brothers, Cliff and Fran Olney of Largo, FL, Ed (Gloria) Olney of Central Square, Larry (Terry) Olney of Tennessee and Bob (Nancy) Olney of Corpus Christi, TX; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Hospice for the kind and compassionate care.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 21 at 11 a.m. in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
