Elizabeth was actively involved in organizations such as Canine Working Companions, Habitat for Humanity, and the Salvation Army. She also gave her time to Meals on Wheels, the Francis House, and the Vineyard Church, bringing care and kindness to those in need.

Elizabeth enjoyed needlework and found great joy in creating with her hands. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and grandchildren, especially at her beloved cottage on Lake Ontario.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her generous spirit, unwavering faith, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Richard, in 2010; son-in-law, Gene Peterson, in 2019; brother and sister-in-law, James (Louise) Grifone; sister and brother-in-law, Henrietta (Charles) Van Wagenen; and sister-in-law, Susan McGrath.
