Elizabeth "Betty" Sabene

Elizabeth "Betty" Sabene, 90, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she graduated from Solvay High School. A communicant of Holy Family Church, Betty was a member of the Funeral Luncheon Committee and volunteered at Sarah House. She enjoyed cooking and baking, but above all, loved spending time with her family.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Victor, in 2004; and brother, Jack Schmick, in 1994.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan (John) Mulligan of Lakeland; sons, John (Judy) of North Syracuse, Mark of Cortland and Daniel (Sandy) of Camillus; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery Resurrection Mausoleum, DeWitt.
