Elizabeth Betty Colman, 81, of Fairmount, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at home. Born in Syracuse on Thursday, March 13, 1924, she was the daughter of Theodore and Sarah Herb. She grew up in the Valley and lived in Camillus since 1963. She was a graduate of St. Anthony of Padua School. Betty and her late husband, Norm, were founders of the Inn Between Restaurant in Camillus. She retired in 1989 after 17 years. She was also a member of the Hibernian Club and wrote and directed many community plays. She enjoyed reading, sewing and spending time with her family. Her husband, Norman L. Colman, died in 2001 and sister, Marilyn McCartney died in 2003. Surviving are her daughters, Leslie (Dan) Kurilla of Birmingham, Alabama, Deborah Benedetti (Mike Mastropaolo) of Syracuse, Pamela (Jon) Agricola of Camillus, Melanie (John) Lamanna of Eastwood and Penelope (Chris) Cesta of Camillus; sons, Randall (Rosemary) Colman of Monticello, Brian (Mary) Colman of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Bradley (Cindy) Colman of Westvale; 27 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Jim Cesta officiating. Friends may call Thursday,May 12, 2005 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
