Elizabeth Ann Sheldon

Elizabeth Ann Sheldon, 71, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of The Convent School. Elizabeth earned her bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego and her master's degrees from SUNY Cortland and the University of North Dakota. She taught at North Syracuse Central School District for 35 years before retiring in 2006. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. An avid sports fan, Elizabeth enjoyed SU basketball and football and the Philadelphia Eagles. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and Yahtzee and collecting Hallmark ornaments. Above all, Elizabeth loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Crouse Hospital on the seven memorial and ICU floors for their loving care and compassion given to Elizabeth and her family.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Edmund and Catherine Schilling; and brother, Edmund Schilling.

Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Timothy; daughters, Jennifer (Timothy Bacon) Sheldon and Amanda (Jason) Reese, both of Camillus; sister, Mary (Evangelo) Harris of Riverview, FL; brother, William (Linda) Schilling of Westvale; grandchildren, Crystal and Chance; several nieces and nephews; and her grand puppy, Bella.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, December 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 7 at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
