Elaine Jayne Smithson

Elaine Jayne Smithson, 94, of Elbridge, passed away Sunday at home. She was born and raised in Boonton, NJ, where she resided for 42 years before settling in Camillus. Elaine was a member of the Syracuse Vineyard Church and loved the Lord. Her greatest joy was singing in church choirs from early childhood to late adulthood. She was a member of the CNY Cat Coalition and loved animals. 

Elaine was predeceased by her daughter, Leslee Blevins; grandson, Jamie Rotella; and brother, Thomas Nugent.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, John “Jack”; children, Jolaine (Fred) Murrell of Denver, CO, Perri (Jay) Rotella of Elbridge, and Reese (Kristen) Perry of Syracuse; step-daughters, Nancy VanKleef of Omaha, NE, and Irene Smithson of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Jayson (Erin) Rotella, Brynn (Scott) Zimmer, Kelsee Murrell, and Alex Murrell; great-grandchildren, Ava Rotella and Jackson Zimmer; and several nieces and nephews.
