Elaine M. Krupka, 91, of Fairmount, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of North High School and Powelson Business Institute.
Elaine retired from International Harvester Co. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed knitting, bowling, playing piano, the NY Yankees and traveling, especially with her sisters and cousins. Above all, she loved raising her children and taking care of her grandchildren.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents, George and Marguerite Gruninger; and sisters, Melba "Honey" Nye and Sister Margaret George Gruninger, CSJ.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, John; daughters, Karen (Edmund) Kieszkowski Jr. of Fairmount and Susan (Richard) Magee of Camillus; son, John Krupka of Cayuga County; grandchildren, Brian, Richard, Joseph, Garrett and Melissa Magee; and Richard (Amanda) Wilmot; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Magee, Jake and Noah Wilmot; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 20 from 11 a.m. to noon.
Services will follow at noon at the funeral home and 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Elaine will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
