Eileen Kilpatrick, 82, of Onondaga Hill, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at The Cottages at Garden Grove. Born in Vandling, PA, she lived most of her life in the Syracuse area. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School and attended OCC. Eileen was employed 10 years with the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office and also worked for local libraries. She was a communicant of The Church of St. Michael & St. Peter. Eileen enjoyed politics, reading, birdwatching and spending summers at Chaumont Bay, but above all, loved spending time with her family and pets.
Eileen was predeceased by her sisters, Anna Rose Gibbons and Mary (Leo) Cosgrove; and brothers, Rev. Vincent Kilpatrick, Donald (Marilyn) Kilpatrick and Eugene (Norma) Kilpatrick.
Surviving are her daughters, Anne Driscoll of Washington, DC, Mary Driscoll of Syracuse, Joan (David) Charash of Newtown, CT and Colleen (Andrew) Leo of Camillus; sons, Paul Driscoll of Syracuse and Joseph Driscoll of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Anna, Daniel and Clare Leo, Maya Driscoll, Elizabeth and Emily Charash and Sophia Driscoll; brother-in-law, Thomas Gibbons; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m. in The Church of St. Michael & St. Peter, 4782 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse. Eileen will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
