Edward Wheeler

Edward Wheeler, 63, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse and Auburn area, he attended Marcellus High School. Edward was employed by Upstate University Hospital for 35 years before retiring in 2016. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles, and was nicknamed, “Fast Eddy”. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Kent and Martha Wheeler.

Surviving are his son, Joel; daughter, Meghan (Scott) Harrison; brothers, Kent Jr. and Michael (Katherine); two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and “Little Loki”.

To celebrate Edward’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow.

Edward will be laid to rest in Sennett Rural Cemetery, Auburn.
