Edward V. Spilker, 90, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at James Square. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Syracuse for over 40 years.
A Navy veteran, Edward was employed for 36 years with the Federal Aviation Administration. He loved animals and enjoyed gardening, cooking, war games and donating to charities, especially for children or animals.
Edward was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude; and sisters, Dorothy Spilker and Mildred Schultz.
Surviving are his daughters, Claire Pallo and Susan Spilker; grandchildren, Renee Stephenson, Ian Hiscock, Ashley Dotter and Heather Magnani; great-grandchildren, Adam Hiscock, Azure Magnani and Benson Dotter; and niece, Doris Weingart.
There will be no calling hours or services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edward's name to any animal rescue or children's charity of one's choice.
