Edward S. Wojciechowski, 86, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his family. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he graduated from Central High School and received his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in 1967. Ed was an Army veteran from 1946 to 1953. He retired in 1988 from General Electric Co. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of American Legion Post 41 and the 32nd Infantry Regiment Assoc. He was also an avid SU sports fan but most of all loved spending time with his family, especially watching all the activities of his great-granddaughters. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Mary; wife, Jane, in 2006; and sisters, Stella Jacewicz and Rose Huber. Surviving are his daughter, Nata Kittell of Camillus; son, James Froio of Syracuse; grandsons, David (Chrissie) Kittell of Syracuse, and Timothy (Cheryl) Kittell and Todd (Jennifer) Kittell, both of Camillus; granddaughter, Deana Froio of Manlius; great-granddaughters, Madisyn, Mackenzie, Nicolette, Annalyse, Adrianna, Rachel and Allison; and great-grandson, Evan. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, December 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 17 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Edward will be laid to rest in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
