Edith L Clark 98, of Onondaga Hill, and most recently of Brookdale Manlius, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Upstate Community Hospital. She was born on February 11, 1926, in Elizabethtown to Raymond LaPine and Lillian Taylor.
Edith had a kind spirit and a life filled with dedication and community involvement. She worked at Bartlett Florist and also served as an election inspector, always taking pride in contributing to those around her. Edith was a proud member of the Valley American Legion Post 1468 and found joy in nature through her involvement with Beaver Lake Nature Center. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, and spending time with friends.
Edith was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert; son, David; and brothers, Art and Bob.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Peter) Baron of Camillus; granddaughters, Aimee (Simon) Wentworth and Cathleen (Joseph) Ross; three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
To celebrate Edith’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home.
Edith will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
