Earl C. Adams, 82, of Warners, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Erieville on Friday, September 24, 1926, he was the son of Earl Leslie Adams and Agnes Mae Elmer Adams. He lived in Warners for 54 years. Earl was employed by Local 545 IUOE for more than 35 years, retiring in 1988. An Army veteran, he served in Italy. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and member of the Holy Name Society. Earl was also a member of BPOE #31 and VFW Post in Tupper Lake. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Crouse Hospital for their compassion and support. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Nora Murphy; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. and Angela Adams of Tomball, Texas and Kenneth E. and Deborah Adams of Warners; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy E. and Scott Webster of Lake Anna, Virginia, Margaret A. and Mark Kerswell of Woodbury, Minnesota, Eileen M. and Frank Mazzye of Baldwinsville, Susan A. and John Mulholland of Lakeland, Mary A. and Kevin Quinn of Middletown, Rhode Island and Theresa K. More of Haskell, Arkansas; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 in Our Lady of Peace Church with Rev. John E. Fetcho officiating. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Earl will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.
