Douglas P. Klaczko, 47, of Fairmount, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. A lifetime resident of Camillus, he was a 1989 graduate of West Genesee High School and was employed with P&C Foods and Tops Markets for over 20 years. Doug was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. He loved hunting and fishing, especially yearly fishing trips at Fairhaven Beach with his brothers. Doug enjoyed spending his summers at Cross Lake and Chaumont Bay. He loved screaming at SU Basketball games and cheering his kids on in soccer. Above all, Doug cherished moments with his wife, kids and his pal Peanut.
Doug defied all odds, defeating leukemia as a small child. As an adult, he was again driven by the power to survive, to live and fight each day. He displayed strength, human will and positivity most of us can only dream of possessing.
Doug was predeceased by his father, Michael, in 1988.
