Douglas B. Ayer

Douglas B. Ayer, 63, of Camillus passed away Saturday November 28, 2015 at home.  He received a B.A. degree from SUNY at Potsdam and certificate in computer science from Syracuse University.  Doug was a retail manager for Wheels Discount Auto and Fay's Drug for many years.  An avid SU sports fan, he enjoyed the Yankees, NY Giants, softball and golf. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Shirley Ayer. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, the former Kathleen Lester; son, Doug (Heather Ellison) Ayer of Liverpool; stepdaughter, Marie (Scott) McVeen of Constantia; sisters, Cynthia (Thomas) Thoman of White Lake, MI and Pamela (Richard) Davis of Baldwinsville; brother, Phillip (Luaina) Ayer of Syracuse; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, December 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2 at the funeral home.
