Dorothy Neave Nunneker, 90, of Geddes, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at Francis House. Born in Syracuse, NY, she lived in Pennsylvania for four years before moving back to Syracuse in 1985. A 1949 graduate of Central High School, she worked for 20 years with IBM before retiring in 1987. Dorothy volunteered as a pianist for Joy Germ Joan, visiting local nursing homes. She also volunteered in the gift shops at Community General Hospital and St. Camillus Nursing Home. She attended Immanuel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Erie Canal Park for over 20 years. Dorothy was an avid Pinochle player and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, H. Craig; sister, Virginia Monnell; and brother, Thomas Neave.
Surviving are her daughter, Pam Nichols of Baldwinsville; son, Ken (Millie) of Syracuse; sister, Lillian (Bradley) Stanton of Glen Mills, PA; sister-in-law, Sue Neave; grandchildren, Karey, Casey, Jessie, Kim and Jenn; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private for family.
