Dorothy E. Johnson, 70, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Rhode Island, she was a caregiver for many years and enjoyed helping others. Dorothy's interests included crossword puzzles, word searches, cooking, drawing, dancing and singing. She loved her cats, especially Butterball.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Ruben Corless.
Surviving are her children, Joseph (Julie) Corless, Eugene Corless, Elaina Lovine, William Cartner III, Ricky Powers, Rhonda Corless and Althea Powers; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, July 19 at 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Burial will be private.
