Dorothy A. Norton, 74, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at home. Born in Binghamton, New York, on Friday, June 25, 1937, she was the daughter of Raymond Hall Hathaway and Anna Ruggles Harpur Hathaway. She spent her early years in Windsor before moving to Syracuse and later to Camillus. She was employed by the New York State Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Rensselaer Page Norton, on October 25, 2009. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Page and Karen Norton of Canton, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Marie and Tim Welch of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Tyler Norton of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Daniel and Anna Paige Welch, both of Fayetteville; and brother, Raymond Hathaway of Deposit. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, November 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. There will be no services.
