Doris Pat Hamilton, 72, of the village of Camillus, died Thursday, July 26, 2007at home. Born in Watertown on Christmas Day, 1934, she was the daughter of George Alberry and Doris Ann Walker Alberry. She lived in the Syracuse area since 1969. Doris was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Our Lady of Lourdes. She was active as a Girl Scout leader and was also a member of the Solvay Moose Club and the Camillus Senior Citizens. Doris's brother, Robert Alberry, died in 1968 and sister, Nina Mudgett, died in 2006. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, James; daughter, Carol Anne Hamilton of Skaneateles; son and daughter-in-law, David and Anne Hamilton, of Salisbury, Maryland; grandchildren, Michael and Jessica Mevec of Skaneateles, and Matt (Sarah) Pike of New Holland, Pennsylvania; sisters, Jo Ann McGraw of Louisiana and Margaret Heitmann of Pennellville; brothers, George Alberry and Wendell Alberry, both of Watertown, Richard Alberry of Statesville, North Carolina, John Alberry of Copperas Cove, Texas, Harold Alberry of Voorheesville, William Alberry of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Gerald Alberry of Morrisonville. A memorial service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2007 at St. Joseph's Church in Camillus. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
