Doris Mae Donahue

September 24, 1927 — June 12, 2013

Doris Mae Donahue, 85, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at Upstate University Hospital at Community General. Born in Honesdale, PA, she was a lifetime resident of the Camillus area and a 1945 graduate of Most Holy Rosary. She was a teacher's aide with the West Genesee Central School District and previously worked for Bell Telephone. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Doris loved spending time with her family and was a big supporter and spectator of all the family sports events. She also loved to travel and enjoyed cross-stitch, gardening and was very active with the Terrytown Garden Club. Doris was predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Condon; sisters and brothers, Marie, Kate, Jimmy, Jack and Don Condon. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Louis; daughter, Mary Beth (Rich) Preall of Saranac Lake; sons, Michael (Patti) of Baldwinsville, Martin, Kevin (Laurie), and Thomas (Mary), all of Camillus, and Patrick (Penny) of Warners; sister, Anne (Skip) Couse of Brownville; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday, June 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Doris will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church Food Pantry, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031.
