Doris Cutting Friske, 87, of Camillus, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012. Born in Syracuse on Saturday, February 16, 1924, she was the daughter of Charles Arthur Cutting and Mabel Gallipeau Cutting. She lived in Camillus since 1960. Doris was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital before retiring in 1962 to stay home and raise her family. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. An avid SU sports fan, she also enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Friske, on July 30, 2000. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret “Peg” and Paul Richardson and Anne and Donald Klaczko, all of Camillus; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Manette of Columbus, Ohio, John and Sandra of Warners, William of Albany, Stephen and Rena of Woodford, Virginia, Robert and Diana of Bellingham, Washington, Michael and Diana of Chicago, Illinois and Edward and Mary of Massapequa, Long Island; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 13 at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Church. Doris will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
