It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Donna Shostack, 75, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, on Sunday. She was a cherished member of the Syracuse community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born on June 29, 1948, Donna spent her life dedicated to her family and her profession as a hairdresser. She was known for her warm smile, her kind heart, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. Donna was not just a hairdresser; she was a confidante and friend to many of her clients, forming lasting relationships over the years.
In her retirement, Donna found great pleasure in spending time with her family and friends. She was a nurturing presence, always offering support and love. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and the aroma of her delicious home-cooked meals. Donna’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time.
Donna was predeceased by her loving husband, Adam Shostack. Together they shared a life filled with love and joy, creating a family that became her pride and joy.
Surviving are her devoted sons, Rob (Pauline) and Keith (Jessica Kanaley), who will forever cherish the memories of their mother. Donna was also a proud grandmother and is survived by her two grandsons, Zachary and Hunter, who brought immense happiness to her life.
To celebrate Donna’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Donna will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
