Donald P. “Skip” Reynolds, 77, of South Onondaga, passed away Sunday at Upstate Community Hospital. A lifetime resident of the South Onondaga area, he was employed as the maintenance personnel for various companies, including Roth Brothers Smelting Corp. and James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre. Skip was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was known as the “unofficial mayor” of South Onondaga. Skip frequently attended drag races and enjoyed watching fireworks. He loved going to breakfast and playing cards and trivia with his friends. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.
Skip was predeceased by his parents, William and Shirley Reynolds.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Marion of South Onondaga; daughter, Angela (Chris) King of Syracuse; grandson, Michael King; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
Skip will be laid to rest in South Onondaga Cemetery, South Onondaga.
