Donald L. Crawford, 80, of Liverpool, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday, September 16, 1931, he was the son of George Aaron Crawford and Grace Jones Crawford. He lived in Solvay since 1974. Don was employed by General Electric Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1990. He was a graduate of Cass Technical High School and Wayne State University in Detroit with a degree in physics. He was also a member of the Solvay Tigers and an avid golfer. Don was predeceased by his two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Amanda Crawford of Liverpool; mother of Dennis, Mary (Petrocci) Crawford of Solvay; sisters, Gertrude Stansfield of Janesville, Wisconsin and Shirley Jacobs of Livonia, Michigan; and daughter-in-law’s parents, George and Donna Baker of Chittenango. There were no services. Arrangements were by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. Burial will be private in Riverside Cemetery, Belfast, New York.
