Donald H. "Boogie" Wells, 81, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at home, surrounded by loved ones. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he earned his associate degree in accounting from CCBI. Donald was employed with Prestolite Electric/Allied for 35 years, he started as an office clerk and worked his way up to controller. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Camillus Country Club, Pastime Athletic Club and the original Coleman's Mug Club. Donald was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a good man.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, the former Roberta "Bert" Needham; son, Mark (Susan) of Camillus; daughters, Bobbie (Scott) Herron of Syracuse, Jennifer (Michael) Cerio of San Anselmo, CA and Melanie (Benjamin) Croucher of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Janet Kot of Fairport; grandchildren, Julia, Sean and Christopher Herron, Ryan Epp, Joey and Gabriel Cerio and Sophie Croucher; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, June 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Donald will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
