Donald Edward Dobrowolski

Donald E. Dobrowolski, 76, of Fairmount, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at Francis House. Born on Saturday, April 12, 1930 to Bruno Dobrowolski and Jane Brown Muirhead Dobrowolski, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Don was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and received a Bronze Star. He was employed for 50 years with the Sheet Metal Local Union 58 in Syracuse, retiring in 1988. A communicant of Holy Family Church, Don also served as an usher. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Don was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Dobrowolski. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Theresa Kunai; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Susan Dobrowolski of Cicero and David and Dorothy Dobrowolski of Baldwinsville; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Christopher Harris of Liverpool; daughter-in-law, Barbara Raum of Liverpool; grandchildren, Mark, Tricia, Brian and David Dobrowolski, Danica Stefanko, Jessica, Christa and Joshua Harris and great-granddaughter, Oriana Schaffer. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where Rev. Philip Brockmyre will celebrate a funeral Mass. Friends may call Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Trinity Mausoleum, Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
