Dolores "Dee" (Giangobbe) Sparrow

Dolores “Dee” (Giangobbe) Sparrow, 94, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Upstate University Hospital Community Campus. Born in Syracuse, she was a lifetime resident of the Camillus area. Dee was formerly employed with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Olin Construction Co. and retired from J.C. Penney’s fine jewelry department. She enjoyed flower gardening and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Dee was predeceased by her beloved husband, John, in 1973; and great-granddaughter, Piper Faith.

Surviving are her sons, Douglas (Kathy) Sparrow of Skaneateles Falls and John (Lorrie) Sparrow of Strafford, NH;
daughters, Jeannine Moore of Camillus and Susan (Jack) Hayes of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Alyssa, Heather, Gina, Olivia, Kiel, Greg, Jack (Sue), Dave (Jen), Kiersten (John) and Amber (Tom); great-grandchildren, Jackie, Selina, Liam, Hailey, Haddie and Savannah; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 31 at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Dee will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
