Dmitry Stasyuk, 84, of Camillus, passed away peacefully Saturday at Upstate University Hospital at Community General. He was born and raised in Yapolot, Ukraine and came to the United States in 1989. Dmitry lived most of his life in the Ukraine and worked as a tailor and heavy machine operator. He was nature-loving and enjoyed mushroom-picking and being a beekeeper. A God-loving and family-oriented man, Dmitry was an active member of the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Lydia; daughters, Raisa (Valery) Savich of Syracuse and Svtlana Moroz of Marcellus; son, Victor (Vera) of Marcellus; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday, July 14 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church. Dmitry will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
