Syracuse

Dennis J. Narvey, 69, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday at University Hospital. Born in Buffalo, he was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area. He attended West Genesee High School and later worked for Consolidated Industries in Syracuse.

A communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Dennis found great joy in his faith, his family, and his many passions. An avid sports fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. Dennis had a deep love for music and dancing, and his enthusiasm for playing games brought laughter and warmth to those around him. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, creating lasting memories filled with love. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents, John and Allena.

Surviving are his sisters, Beverly Narvey of Baldwinsville and Debra Smith of Cicero; nieces, Alicia and Erica; and many great nieces and nephews

There will be no calling hours.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated, Monday, March 31, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Dennis will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Food Pantry, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031 or to ECHO Meals on Wheels, 4600 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13219.
