Deborah A. Luke, 67, of Camillus, passed away Friday. Born in Syracuse, she was a lifetime resident of Camillus. Debi was a graduate of West Genesee High School, Green Mountain College and SUNY Cortland. In 1989, she began teaching at Fairmount Nursery School and became Director in 1996 where she remained until the school closed.
A communicant and Eucharistic minister of St. Joseph's Church, she also served on the board of Fairmount Community Library. She was an avid reader and baker, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Debi was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Elizabeth Pfeiffer.
Debi is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald; children, Christine (Brian) Brown of Liverpool, Patrick (Kelly) Luke of Harleysville, PA and Matthew (Genevieve) Luke of Mendham, NJ; grandchildren, Tyler, Molly, Leah, Bennett, Logan, Jackson, Jace, Eleanor, Charlotte and Madeleine; brothers, Peter (Alice) Pfeiffer of Fayetteville and Paul Pfeiffer of California; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, July 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St. Camillus. A funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. Debi will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
