Deborah J. Steitz

Deborah J. (Richer) Steitz, 67, of Syracuse, passed away Friday. A graduate of Solvay High School, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Deborah earned her licensed practical nursing degree through BOCES and was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital for more than 25 years. She loved her dogs and shopping but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Deborah was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Annette Vercillo; and husband, Philip Steitz.

Deborah is survived by daughter, Jackie (Mike) Hard of Camillus; and grandchildren, Michael and Addison.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, July 21 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 6 p.m.
