David “Bryan” Bigsby, 40, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he graduated from West Genesee High School and was a Marine Corps veteran. Bryan was owner of David’s Lawn Care Service. He enjoyed martial arts and received a black belt from Silver's Tae Kwon Do. He also liked watching movies and loved spending time with his family. Bryan was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Marvin Bigsby; and maternal grandparents, Edward and Lylia Mulhern. Surviving are his parents, David and Maryanne of Syracuse; sister, Kathleen Bigsby (Michael Fialkovic) of Camillus; paternal grandmother, Alta Bigsby of DeWitt; aunts, Carol (Stephen) Szkolnik of Syracuse and Susan (William) Davison of Cave Creek, Arizona; and many cousins. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, August 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bryan’s memory to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
