David V. Houghtaling, 85, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Elderwood Health Care at Birchwood. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and an Army veteran of the Korean War. David retired after 30 years from Sam Dell Dodge. He was a member of Christ Community Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. David was predeceased by his wife, Marianna, in 2011. Surviving are his daughters, Nancy (Joel) Curé of Pelham, AL, and Nora (Chris) Siracusa of Camillus; son, Brad (Theresa) of DeWitt; brother, John (Marge) of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Tyler, James, David, Jessica, Amanda, Sierra and Shana; great-grandson, Ian; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, December 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Belle Isle Cemetery, Warners.
