David M. Bigsby, 82, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at Francis House. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of North Syracuse High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. David was employed by the NYS Dept. of Labor for over 25 years. A communicant of Holy Family Church, he was a member of the Woodfield Sportsman Assoc. for over 25 years. David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed bird watching. He also enjoyed art and was a member of The Art Class with the Senior Center on Onondaga Hill. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
David was predeceased by his son, David Bryan; and son-in-law, Michael Fialkovic.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Maryanne; daughter, Kathleen Fialkovic of Camillus; sisters, Carol Diane Szkolnik of Mattydale and Susan (William) Davison of Cave Creek, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, October 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 11 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.
David will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
