David A. Widrick, 77, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at home. Born in Croghan, he lived in Camillus for 53 years and was an Army veteran. He retired in 2000 after 35 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. He attended Fairmount Community Church United Church of Christ. David loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved woodworking, computers and was an amateur ham radio operator. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, hiking, bicycling and golfing. David was predeceased by his brother, Howard Widrick. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Penny Mader; sons, Jeffrey of Orlando, FL, Mark (Cyndi) of New Market, MD and David (Kim) of Marietta; sister, Betty (Bruce) Richie of Lowville; brothers, Norman (LeEtta) of Castorland and Eugene of Billerica, MA; grandchildren, Joshua, Connor and Trevor Widrick; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, August 2 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fairmount Community Church United Church of Christ, 4801 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
