Danielle Lee Menzies, 33, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 2, 2016 at University Hospital with her loving family by her side. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of J.C.B. High School, Herkimer Community College and SUNY Brockport. Danielle was a paralegal with Barclay & Damon for five years. She enjoyed kickboxing, skiing, playing the piano and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Danielle was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Vincent Menzies, in 1999; maternal grandmother, Mary Booth, in 1985; and maternal grandfather, Francis Collins, in 1978. Surviving are her parents, Danny and Patricia Menzies of Clay; brother, Lt. Jonathon and his wife, Marlene Barrett stationed at Jacksonville, FL and brother, Senior Chief Robert Barrett stationed at Gulfport, MS; paternal grandmother, Pearl Menzies of Geddes; niece, Destiny Barrett of Gulfport, MS; nephew, Kincaid Barrett of Jacksonville, FL; her love, Joshua Lance of Baldwinsville; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and beloved family dog, Gracie. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, June 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Wednesday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Danielle will be laid to rest in Union Hill Cemetery, Cato. Danielle loved flowers, however a donation may also be made in her name to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
