Daniel J. Elsbey

Daniel J. Elsbey, 76, of Fairmount, passed away Sunday at Upstate University Hospital. Born in Kalamazoo MI, he was a graduate of West Genesee High School and SUNY Oswego. A Vietnam veteran, he retired from Empower Federal Credit Union. Daniel was a Boston Red Sox fan, who was meticulous with his gardening and landscaping. He enjoyed drawing portraits and above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Naomi.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former Louise Werth; son, Mark (Amy); daughter, Kathryn; granddaughter, Emily; grandson, Luke; nephews, Andrew and Ted Werth; and grand-dog, Sox.

There will be no calling hours.

Services will be Wednesday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at Fairmount Community Church United Church of Christ, 126 South Terry Rd., Syracuse. Face masks are required.

Burial will be private.
