Curtiss C. Hadlich, 69, of the village of Camillus, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at University Hospital. Born in Miami, Florida on Tuesday, May 3, 1938, he was the son of Curt Herman Hadlich and Dorothy Elizabeth McCorkle Hadlich. He was raised in Waukegan, Illinois before moving to Syracuse. He lived in Camillus since 1972. Curt was employed by the Town of Camillus for 14 years and was a railroad conductor for a number of railroads. He was a life member and past chief of the Camillus Fire Department and member of the Howlett Hill Fire Department Fire Police. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Onondaga County Volunteer Fireman's Association. He was also past chairman of the Village of Camillus Planning Board. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former Ann Siddall; sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Susan Hadlich of Ceresco, Michigan, Patrick Hadlich of Weedsport and Phillip and Theresa Hadlich of Camillus; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Gregory Baker of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April19, 2008 at the Howlett Hill Fire Department.
