Concetta "Connie" Vincent

Concetta “Connie” Vincent, 77, of Weedsport, passed away Thursday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Oneida, she attended Canastota High School and in 1970 made Camillus her home with her husband. During her professional career, Connie worked for Lockheed Martin for over five years in maintenance before retiring.

Throughout her life, Connie held her family close to her heart, cherishing every moment spent with them. Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition where she would gather with her loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and love. Embracing the beauty of nature, Connie found solace in camping trips, building bonds and creating lasting memories in the great outdoors. 

Aside from her passion for family, Connie delighted in various activities that brought her joy. For over twenty years, she served as a dedicated judge for the Odyssey of the Mind, where she had the privilege of inspiring and encouraging young minds, leaving a lasting impact on the community she held dear. In her spare time, Connie loved engaging in card games with family and friends at home. She also found great delight in visiting various casinos, always seeking excitement and the prospect of winning big.

Connie was predeceased by her husband, David Sr.; parents, Anthony and Betty Lumbrazo; and aunts, Ann and Rose Lumbrazo.

Surviving are her son, David Jr.; daughter, Gina Vincent; stepchildren, Terri, Jeff, Chris, and Tim Shuba; grandson, Damian Arney; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

To celebrate Connie’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday, January 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service to honor Connie’s life will follow at the funeral home.
