Colleen Katherine Endress, 73, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2011 following a long illness. Born in Syracuse on Thursday, March 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Lillie) Gorman. She had been a resident of Syracuse for 61 years and more recently resided in Acton and Groton, Massachusetts. Colleen graduated from Blodgett Vocational High School in Syracuse with the Class of 1955. She was a talented secretary with a cheerful nature, working at Dun & Bradstreet, Agway, and Monroe Lawn and Tree Service. Colleen was predeceased by her brothers, William T. Gorman, in 2003, and Edward J. Gorman in 2010. Surviving are her son, John M. Endress and his wife, Judy of Binghamton; son, William E. Endress and his wife, Deborah of Acton, Massachusetts; grandchildren Sean P. Endress and Sarah A. Endress, both of Binghamton, Jennifer E. Endress, Ashley L. Endress and Katherine L. Endress, all of Acton Massachusetts; and former husband, James W. Endress Jr. of Falmouth, Massachusetts. Burial will be private at Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 West Genesee St, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Acton Council on Aging, 472 Main St., Acton, MA 01720.
