Clara E. Bolton

Clara E. Bolton, 85, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Sunday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Clarks Summit, PA, she was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School. Clara pursued a successful career as a purchasing manager in the manufacturing industry, dedicating 22 years to Prestolite in Syracuse. Following her time at Prestolite, she continued her career at CWR Manufacturing until retirement. 

Clara was a member of the American Legion Valley Post #1468 Women’s Auxiliary. She found joy in gardening, knitting, and baking, and loved bird watching. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Clara was predeceased by her former husband, Gerald Sr., in 2008; parents, Julia and George Staples Sr.; and brother, George Staples Jr.

Surviving are her sons, Gerald (Susan) and Michael (Shancee), both of Camillus, and Christopher (Aung Thwin) of Cohoes; daughters, Audrey (John) Odell of Camillus and Lori Joyner of Sanford, NC; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Joyce) Staples of Lake City, FL, and James (Nonna Rahll) Staples of Brasher Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
