Christopher S. Thomas

February 6, 1965 — December 2, 2013

Christopher S. Thomas, 48, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a 1983 graduate of West Genesee High School and attended Penn State University. He was formerly employed with Marcellus Casket Co. and Sabert Insulation, Inc. Christopher was predeceased by his father, William, in 2010. Surviving are his sons, Sean, Eric and Cody; mother, Jean Thomas of Camillus; brother, Jeffrey (Cathy) Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Elizabeth (Mark Meager) Thomas of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Friday, December 6 at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Camillus, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Christopher will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cody Thomas Educational Fund, c/o Jean Thomas, Westar Credit Union, 2565 Hambletonian Way, Camillus, NY 13031.
