Christopher J. Wright

Christopher J. Wright Sr., 89, of Fairmount, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at home. Born in Camillus on Thursday, November 28, 1918, he was the son of Willard Damon Wright and Cecil Rose Reed Wright. He was a lifetime resident of the Fairmount area. Christopher was employed by the West Genesee Central School District for 29 years, retiring in 1982. He was a former member of the C.C.C.'s, last founding member of the Fairmount Fire Dept. and member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Florence Van Horn; daughters and son-in-law, Bonnie and Wayne Howell of Skaneateles Falls and Yvonne Wright of Fairmount; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kathy Wright Jr. of Lakeland; sister, Betty Moore of Fairmount; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Arlie Howell officiating. Friends may call Monday, July 28, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Isle Cemetery, Warners.
