Christine Ann Fitzgerald, 34, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017. Born in Syracuse, she moved to Washington, D.C. in 2007. A 2001 graduate of West Genesee High School, Christine earned her bachelor's degree from James Madison University and her master's degree from George Washington University. She was a devoted intelligence analyst for the Washington Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Christine traveled extensively to Central and South America, Great Britain and Ireland and had a loving group of friends in her adopted city of Washington, D.C.
Christine was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Richard and Margaret Fitzgerald; and maternal grandmother, Patricia Brady.
Surviving are her parents, Richard and Kathleen Fitzgerald; brother, Michael (Gretchen) Fitzgerald; maternal grandfather, Charles A. Brady; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and goddaughter.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, August 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 19 at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Christine will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Camillus.
The family wishes to thank the FBI Washington Field Office, Dr. Barr and his staff and Christine's beloved Washington family that supported her and adopted her family.
