Chloe (Vail) Wells, 86, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2016 with her daughter by her side after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Apulia in 1929 and grew up in Tipperary Hill. A 1946 graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Chloe was employed by the New York Telephone Co. for 39 years. She loved playing golf and bridge and enjoyed watching Syracuse basketball with her husband, Bill. Chloe was a member of St. Joseph's Altar and Rosary Society and Funeral Guild. She had a zest for life and had many cherished friends. Chloe will be greatly missed. Chloe was predeceased by her parents, William H. and Helen D. Vail. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, William D. Wells; daughter, Kimberly Wells Prince and grandson, Anthony Prince, both of Fairmount; and sister, Karyle Hollady Maddox. The family of Chloe would like to thank the third floor staff of the Cunningham for their loving care. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 15 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Chloe will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
