Chester Martin Grzejka, 79, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of North High School. Chester was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was employed by Carrier Corp. for 35 years and was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
Chester was predeceased by his parents, Chester Marcellus and Anna Grzejka.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Dorothy Hall; daughters, Tracy Streiff of Baldwinsville and Kelly (Victor) Vaccaro of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew Streiff, and Mark, Sarah, Matthew and Jacob Vaccaro; sister, Barbara Ruel of Baldwinsville; brother, Thomas (Beverly) Grzejka of Cicero; and nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Chester, AKA Marty, adored his wife and was a devoted father. He enjoyed numerous hobbies and loved telling stories. During his lifetime, he served others and after his death, he gave the ultimate gift of life as a tissue donor.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, April 20 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.
A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at the church.
Chester will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
