Charles S. Jackson, 93, of Camillus, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of Camillus, Charles was a Merchant Marine veteran of WWII and Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed with General Electric Co. for 37 years. Charles was a member of the Syracuse Power Squadron and Immanuel United Methodist Church. He was a humble man, loved his family and enjoyed boating on the St. Lawrence River.
Charles was predeceased by his sister, Flora Gramm.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Winifred H. Jackson; children, Beth (Bryan) Barner of Camillus, Jim (Lee) Jackson of Cobbs Creek, VA and Amy (Michael) Himes of Bridgeport; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. Charles will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
