Charles R. Searle, 69, of Camillus, died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Community-General Hospital. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 23, 1938, he was the son of George William Searle and Anna Kulman Searle. Charles was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and lived in Camillus since 1942. Retiring in 1986, he was employed for 25 years with Allied Signal and previously worked at Sears, in Camillus, for 13 years. Charles was an Army veteran. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his companion, Barbara Haag of Syracuse; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Patricia of Camillus, John and Lori of Baldwinsville, David and Beth of Liverpool, and Andrew and Sandy of Camillus; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Michael Jordan of Cicero; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Paul Meigs and Judy and Phil Boas, all of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Gregory LeStrange officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
