Charles H. Pratt, 53, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at home. Born on January 28, 1970, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, and a beloved son, brother, and friend to many. Charles was a compassionate soul who continuously demonstrated kindness and understanding towards others. His gentle nature and genuine concern for people made him a trusted confidant to many. Charles had unconditional loyalty, always putting the needs of his loved ones before his own. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, and hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Charles’ family extends a heartfelt thank you to his beloved friends for their unwavering friendship, care, and support.
Charles was predeceased by wife, Laura; and father, Alfred.
Charles leaves behind his mother, Alice of Elbridge, who cherished him dearly; and siblings, Kimberly (John) Walsh of Marcellus, Jean (John) Guzelak of Granby, Holly Pratt of Camillus, Karen Pratt of Syracuse, and Dawn Pratt of Elbridge; half-sisters, Laurie (Clark) Hanson of Tennessee, and Mischel (John) Satunas of Pennsylvania; step-children, Jessica Tompkins of Marcellus, TJ (Jada) Tompkins of Syracuse and Lenny Brink of Syracuse; six grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and their memories together will forever be cherished.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, November 18, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
