Charles Henry Robinson Jr., 86, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at University Hospital. Born and raised in Wells Township, PA, he was a graduate of Troy Pennsylvania High School and an Army veteran. Charles lived in Elmira in the mid-60s before moving to Syracuse in 1972. He was employed with the Rescue Mission and M&T Bank. Charles was a woodworker and also enjoyed traveling, especially spending his winters in St. Augustine, FL.
Charles was predeceased by his wife, Estella, in 2002; sons, Dale, in 1986 and Michael, in 2014; great-grandson, Jonah; and brothers, Lawrence, Robert, Leon and Jim.
Surviving are his daughter, Cynthia (David) Blake of Syracuse; sons, Charles (Eloisa) of Oklahoma, Terry (Linda) of Syracuse, James (Melody) of Pittsburgh, PA and Timothy (Kim) of Syracuse; daughters-in-law, Caroline Robinson of Elmira and Alyson Robinson of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Cynthia, Christina, Crystal, Cassandra, Hillary, Laura, Nicki, Justin, Amy, Annie and Timothy; and great-grandchildren, Hosanna, Charlie, Josiah, Jax, Victory, Jordan, Tristan, Alexander and Owen.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, June 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
